The study plan includes a compulsory curricular internship carried out at external organisations. For students who have graduated from the Department’s Bachelor’s Degree programmes, this internship is additional to the one completed during the first-cycle degree. The internship represents a fundamental component of the educational pathway, as it enables students to engage directly with the professional environment, apply the theoretical knowledge acquired during their studies in real operational contexts, and assess their competencies in practice. The experience, therefore, constitutes an important opportunity for professional orientation and development.
Internship Locations
Internships may be carried out at organisations, companies, public administrations, private institutions, or professional firms that have signed a formal agreement with the Department. Currently, approximately 1,000 organisations are affiliated with the Department through active agreements. For each internship, the host organisation appoints a workplace supervisor who supports and guides the student throughout the placement. Internships are unpaid. Insurance coverage is provided by the University.

Internship activities must be authorised in advance by the Internship Delegate, Prof. Guido Noto.
