The course

The Master's Degree in Business Consulting and Management aims to train professionals with highly qualified skills for accounting and consulting professions, as well as for the administration and management of private and public companies. Specifically, the Master's Degree in Business Consulting and Management is designed for students seeking to pursue advanced studies in business economics, including accounting, business consulting, business management, and other professional contexts that require specialized knowledge and expertise.

Specific career opportunities are in accounting and auditing (the program represents the natural qualifying path for the practice of the profession of Chartered Accountant and Accounting Expert, Level A of the professional register, following completion of an internship—which may be concurrent with attendance at the Master's Degree—and passing the state exam), as well as in professions related to executive and managerial positions in private and public companies operating in national and international markets.

The program is therefore aimed at both undergraduate and graduate students with a four-year degree who wish to deepen their specialized skills for accounting professions, or for careers as officers or managers in various management and administrative-accounting fields, such as management control system design, financial and risk analysis and control systems, economic and financial communication, etc.

The Master's Degree Program in Business Consulting and Management is divided into two curricula. The first, "Consulting and Profession," corresponds to the previous program of the same name, maintaining its structure. The second, "International Management," is based on courses taught exclusively in English and was created to meet the growing demand for professionals capable of assuming operational and managerial roles in companies that operate in international contexts. The "International Management" curriculum focuses in particular on the study of management and business economics disciplines, integrated with appropriate skills in statistics and law, so that students can acquire a solid interdisciplinary preparation and the ability to understand and manage the policies and strategies that companies are called upon to implement in an international context that appears to be constantly evolving.

The Master’s Degree Programme in “Business Consulting and Management” aims to train highly qualified professionals with advanced expertise in accounting professions, business consulting, and corporate administration.

Specifically, the programme’s educational objectives are designed to develop the skills necessary for graduates to support private companies and public administrations—both externally and internally—in the areas of financial planning, budgeting and accounting auditing, and financial and economic management control. Graduates will also be able to provide advanced consultancy services to institutions, businesses, and individuals, both nationally and internationally, in the following areas:

  • Design of corporate information systems;
  • Business accounting (including chart of accounts setup, bookkeeping, preparation of financial statements, analytical accounting setup, product costing, and calculation of taxable business income);
  • Economic and financial assessments related to extraordinary corporate operations;
  • Statutory auditing of financial statements for both private and public entities;
  • Monitoring of business performance;
  • Economic, financial, and tax-related aspects, including corporate crisis management, with roles such as bankruptcy trustee, judicial commissioner, and liquidator;
  • Economic and financial analyses in support of transfer pricing decisions;
  • Compliance auditing (including quality control procedures);
  • Planning, organisation, and management of internal auditing processes.

The Master’s Degree in Business Consulting and Management primarily welcomes students with a Bachelor’s degree in economics and business, but also those with backgrounds in political economy or economic-legal disciplines.

This programme is intended for students who wish to complete their academic path by enrolling in a second-cycle degree that provides specialised business knowledge. The course offers a highly qualified professional profile, both in the consulting and accounting professions (laying a solid foundation for access to the profession of Chartered Accountant), and in managerial roles.

The learning path is structured so that students acquire in-depth, master's-level knowledge in the areas of business and management, law, statistics and quantitative methods, and economics, with particular focus on public economics.

Thanks to the skills acquired, graduates of the programme will be capable of managing key business functions across various organisational contexts. They will do so by mastering analytical techniques and applying practical knowledge to support decision-making processes, as well as by coordinating and organising operational units.

Moreover, they will be able to operate in external roles as business consultants or as licensed professionals in the fields of economics and commerce.
