Orientation

Student orientation represents a strategic objective of the Department of Economics and is carried out in accordance with the guidelines provided by the Orientation and Tutoring Committee.

The Degree Programme in Business Consulting and Management has appointed Prof. Valeria Naciti as the delegate responsible for orientation activities.

In addition to participating in university-wide orientation events, guidance activities are organised both at the programme level and department level.

These activities are structured into three main areas:

  • Incoming Orientation, aimed at presenting the University’s educational offerings to help prospective students make informed choices about their academic path. This is achieved through participation in orientation events, information activities, and continuous engagement with secondary schools at the regional, national, and cross-border level.
  • Ongoing Orientation, designed to reduce student dropout, academic delay, and the gap between the expected and actual duration of study. The goal is to eliminate or mitigate any barriers that hinder a successful academic experience.
  • Outgoing Orientation, focused on developing initiatives and projects to support students in the transition from education to employment, including assisted career guidance and activities authorised under special provisions for job placement services.
