The Quality Assurance Group (Gruppo AQ) is a committee, which includes student representatives, responsible for monitoring outcomes and conducting self-assessment of the educational offerings provided by the Degree Program (CdS). The activities of the Quality Assurance Group consist of analyzing the quantitative indicator reports published by ANVUR, as well as periodic self-assessments conducted in the form of cyclical review reports. Degree Programs adhere to the objectives, duties, and criteria established by the organization and implement improvement actions defined by the University. Degree Programs and their respective units are guided by the University, through the Presidio, towards a balance between a Quality Assurance system that, considering available resources, is limited to meeting predetermined requirements, and a commitment to continuous improvement understood as the capacity to set updated educational objectives aligned with the best national and international standards. To this end, the internal evaluation system verifies the regularity of the Degree Programs’ curricula, taking into account all stakeholders and assessing the overall quality of educational outcomes.
Currently, the Quality Assurance Group is composed of: Prof. Giovanna Centorrino (Coordinator of the Degree Program), Prof. Maria Cristina Cinici (Degree Program Faculty), Prof. Valeria Naciti (Degree Program Faculty), Ms. Antonella Fiumanò (Technical-Administrative Staff member), Laura Ciraolo (Student Representative), and Samuel Raffaele Addamo (Student Representative).
The Degree Program Council evaluates the quality of activities carried out, utilizing data from the monitoring system to ensure the overall effectiveness of teaching management through the establishment of processes aimed at improving the Degree Program and continuously verifying the achievement of predetermined objectives. The Quality Assurance Group is appointed by the Degree Program Council every three years and is composed of faculty members of the Program, with the number of members proportionate to its needs and in accordance with the Quality Assurance system of the unit to which the Degree Program belongs.
Within the Department of Economics, a Joint Commission has been established, composed of student representatives who are members of the Department Council and an equal number of faculty members from the Department elected by the Department Council. This structure aims, where possible, to ensure the presence of faculty representatives from all Degree Programs housed within the Department.
For the current composition of the Joint Commission, please refer to the department’s webpage.
